Steps to Apply

Register by clicking on "Register" Link
Login with the registred login ID and Password on "User Login" link
In the Applicant Home Page, click on "Apply for Ordinary Passport/Emergency Certificate/Police Clearance Certificate/Surrender of Indian Passport/Diplomatic Passport/Official Passport/Identity Certificate" link to file a new application
After successful submission,take a printout of the online submitted form

Visit the respective Application Processing Centre/Embassy/Consulate along with required supporting documents
The list of Application Submission Centre- visit the respective website of Indian Embassy/Consulate/Outsource Service Provider by clicking on link "Embassy/Consulate" Connect

If you wish to file an appeal against an adverse action (like rejection/refusal of application or impounding/revocation of the passport) taken by an Indian embassy, or consulate against your passport/application, you can file an appeal by logging in the PSP portal at www.passportindia.gov.in, and then selecting 'Log appeal' from the home page. Only Indians living abroad are eligible to apply for Passport Services using Passport Seva System under the jurisdiction of the respective Indian Missions (Embassy/High Commission) or Posts (Consulate Generals) abroad.
